The last post in the series is about the previous day, when we drove from Ullapool to Thurso. This post is about Day 6, when we took a day trip to Orkney.
To pick up on a long-abandoned thread, this is a follow-up to my last post about my graduation road trip around Scotland with my family in the summer of 2018. The previous post was our trip from Skye to Ullapool.
We decided last-minute to change our plans so we could include the Grand Canyon on our trip.
We left Lake Mead after our early morning swim and headed to Utah!
We packed the car the night before – only starting around 10pm! We managed to fit everything into the car (barely). We set off mid-morning the next day.
From mid-August until mid-September, James and I went on a road trip all around the Western United States. We started in San Diego and headed towards Seattle, where we met friends, Jess and Dotty. From there, we headed back together to San Diego.
This past weekend I went to the desert with some friends to see the Perseid Meteor Shower.
On our final day on Skye, we got out early to go to the southwest corner of the island to see the Cuillin Ridge.
